After such a wildly successful event at the White House, fans are wondering if another historic landmark could host a UFC event.
Last weekend, the premier MMA promotion hosted their UFC Freedom 250 event from the South Lawn of the White House.
While the event was extremely anticipated by not just combat sports fans but the wider audience, it lived up to expectations as all seven fights finished inside the distance.
Earlier this week, the U.S. viewership figures were revealed, as 17 million viewers tuned in for the historic one-of-a-kind event.
Dana White reveals how much it was going to cost to host fight at Colosseum
This isn’t the first time the UFC has hosted a spectacular event at a one-of-a-kind location, as back in 2024 at UFC 306, they hosted their event at the Sphere.
And it may not be the last, as Dana White has provided more details on his previous talks to host a fight at the Colosseum in Rome.
The UFC promoter was attempting to broker a deal between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg as the two were in talks for a wild fight at the Italian landmark.
“It’s impossible (to do a fight at the Colosseum),” White said at the UFC Vegas 119 post-fight press conference this past Saturday.
“I was negotiating the deal with Zuckerberg and Musk, that was real. I was literally in my backyard for two weeks negotiating that fight and they wanted the Colosseum, the Colosseum wanted something like $150 million to do it there.
“That money would go into a fund that restores all the iconic places in Italy. The Colosseum would take Zuckerberg fighting Musk to happen because those two were gonna put up the money for it. Anybody that wants to put up the money for UFC at the Colosseum, I’m in,” White continued.

Although that seems like an extremely unlikely prospect, Zuckerberg is a huge UFC fan and one of the wealthiest men on the planet.
After the surprise and success of the White House event, nothing can be ruled out for the premier MMA promotion, especially with the wealthy powerhouses they have behind them.
