Another road back to the Octagon has commenced for Conor McGregor.
The former two-division UFC champion is back on the sidelines after suffering another serious injury inside the cage in his return at International Fight Week.
McGregor tore his ACL against Max Holloway after attempting a flying switch kick at the start of their UFC 329 main event in Las Vegas.
That has come five years after the Irishman broke his leg, but he is not letting another injury setback dent his apparently “unstoppable” mindset.

McGregor recently underwent knee surgery to repair the injury that ruined his long-awaited UFC comeback on July 11.
After a brief update on social media, the former lightweight and featherweight champion posted a video addressing the start of his recovery on Instagram.
He highlighted some past success stories of comebacks from ACL tears, including Tom Brady’s in the NFL and Dominick Cruz’s return to the UFC’s bantamweight throne after two such surgeries.
“My knee is repaired. Surgery was a success, and I am on the road to recovery,” McGregor said. “That should tell you everything you need to know about my mindset.
“I want to give a shoutout to Dominick Cruz, who returned from multiple ACLs to recapture his bantamweight crown. Georges St-Pierre, multiple ACLs… he’s doing backflips and movement is still stellar.
“Other notables in other sports — the NFL, Tom Brady’s done it,” he continued. “These are my motivation here, especially the fighting boys.
“Unstoppable, baby. My mindset unstoppable, unbreakable.”

After a five-year layoff following his devastating leg break at UFC 264, ‘The Notorious’ is targeting a much quicker return this time around.
While the final fight on his current deal was targeted for April 2027, McGregor’s planned return date is now next year’s edition of International Fight Week.
He still has Holloway in his sights, hoping to run it back with the Hawaiian again 12 months after their anticlimactic…
