Paddy Pimblett may look to replicate this at UFC 324.
‘The Baddy’ is fast approaching his first title fight in the promotion, which comes in the UFC’s very first main event on Paramount+.
The $7.7 billion broadcast deal will kick off with UFC 324 on January 24, headlined by Pimblett’s title clash against Justin Gaethje. The pair will fight for an interim lightweight belt in champion Ilia Topuria’s absence.
‘The Highlight’ is a former interim champ already but has yet to reach the undisputed throne at 155 pounds. Gaethje was submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov in his first shot before falling to the same fate against Charles Oliveira.
Recent training footage may have demonstrated that such a finish could be on the cards for Pimblett come fight night in Las Vegas.
