Another sporting event could be set to land on the South Lawn of the White House.
This past Sunday, the premier MMA promotion hosted their UFC Freedom 250 event from the South Lawn of the White House.
After months and months of anticipation, the event lived up to expectation and will likely go down as one of the greatest combat sports events of all time.
And although Dana White was adamant that no other event like that would ever take place, talks have already started for the next sporting event on the lawn of the White House.
WWE in talks for an event on the South Lawn
After what was such an incredibly successful event, Joe Rogan made a huge claim that the event garnered a viewership of 150 million.
Despite that, Rogan’s inflated numbers were quickly dispelled when it was revealed that 17 million people tuned in for the historic event.
That number, though, is still a huge number and because of that, the UFC’s sister company, the WWE, are now in talks for a potential event on the South Lawn.

According to Wrestle Votes, the WWE are now discussing the idea of hosting an event there as WWE officials were overly impressed with UFC Freedom 250 and they are keen on doing the same.
One of the main reasons why the UFC were able to host an event at the White House, though, is because President Donald Trump is a huge fan of the promotion and the sport of MMA and he has a great relationship with White.
Having said that, Trump does of course have history with the WWE also. Trump was famously involved in a ‘loser shaves his head match’ against former WWE CEO Vince McMahon back in 2007.
