However, in a post where Perry thanked his training partners for getting him ready for this huge showdown, a significant mark around his left eye caught a lot of attention.

Mike Perry claims his eye injury is ‘healed’ after fans highlight major concern
In a recent video posted on Instagram, Mike Perry sported a significant injury below his left eye and some swelling around it, which the comments quickly highlighted.
Fans questioned whether this could cause issues for him on May 16 and prevent him from training over the next two and a half weeks.
Shortly after sharing the video, ‘Platinum’ commented on his own post to provide some additional context on the injury.
“I’m ready for my fight,” he wrote. “I continued to train with my eye like that for over a month and have been healed. Platinum pressure incoming.”

From the moment the fight was announced, comments were made about Nate Diaz returning to MMA and how frequently the former UFC star tends to suffer significant cuts.
This might be something to look out for with regard to both men following Perry’s video.
Ronda Rousey’s return card already lost one of the originally scheduled matchups but having this one fall through would be a massive blow.
