Netflix’s debut MMA card features more than one fighter who feels the UFC did them dirty.
Ronda Rousey has been criticizing the UFC after having her comeback fight this year turned away by the promotion.
Instead of an Octagon return, ‘Rowdy’ will compete for the first time since 2016 in a Netflix main event on May 16. But she won’t be the only ex-UFC fighter who has a bone to pick with her former employer.
The co-main event sees Ngannou’s return to MMA competition, and ‘The Predator’s’ exit from the UFC in 2023 after a contractual dispute remains a hot topic of discussion.

Francis Ngannou accuses Dana White’s promotion of attempting to harm his post-UFC journey
Ngannou left the UFC three years ago after turning down the promotion’s final offer, having not had his demands met.
Since then, it’s been clear that the relationship between the Cameroonian and his former bosses is fractured, to say the least.
Dana White has frequently spoken ill of his promotion’s ex-heavyweight champion. After describing him as difficult to work with, White even accused Ngannou of pushing him backstage at a UFC event.
While discussing why more fighters don’t follow his example by standing up to the UFC and betting on themselves elsewhere, ‘The Predator’ told Ariel Helwani to look at what’s been said about him in the years post-departure.
“Since I left, don’t you see what they try to do?” Ngannou said.
“All this, blah, blah, blah. All the things, all the narratives they try to drive.
“The mission has always been to destroy Francis, to damage Francis,” he added.
“Tell me about somebody who left, went out, and (could be) something. Basically as a champion. Nobody has left as a champion, so they want to close that door.”

In his first MMA fight since finishing Renan Ferreira in one round, Ngannou will face Philipe Lins at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome.
The 2024 victory over ‘Problema’ marked his one and only appearance in the PFL. It was announced earlier this month that Ngannou had been released by the PFL, and news of his return under the banner of Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions soon…
