Dundee United, Motherwell and the William Hill Premiership were all content to share the spoils following a 0-0 draw at Tannadice.
Steelmen now have nine wins in a row, whereas United has only won seven games.
Motherwell made three changes from the side that defeated Livingston in the previous week. Stephen Welsh, Callum Slattery, and Callum Hendry were brought back, while Liam Gordon and Regan Charles Cook, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, and Regan Charles Cook, dropped to the bench.
In the eighth minute, the visitors had the first chance to score. However, Hendry’s weak downward header after a Slattery corner inside United’s box was easily collected by goalkeeper Dave Richards.
Motherwell was forced to make a change early in the game. In the 18th minute, Welsh had to be taken off due to a collision with his teammate Elliott Watt. Gordon then replaced the defender.
The opening of the match was not exciting for either side’s fans. By the time the half-hour mark arrived, neither Richards nor his opponent Calum Ward were seriously challenged.

Just before half-time, Watt’s speculative long shot was well over. Then, in stoppage time, Tawanda Maswanhise’s strike from outside the box went straight into Richards arms.
