Daniel Cormier has dropped a powerful observation about Conor McGregor ahead of the MMA superstar’s rematch with Max Holloway at UFC 329 in July.
Conor McGregor will step back into the MMA octagon for the first time since his back-to-back defeats to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and UFC 264 back in 2021.
Max Holloway and Conor McGregor will be the headline act for UFC 329, with Dana White’s organization returning to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 11th July.
McGregor and Holloway crossed paths all the way back in 2013 under the UFC banner and the 37-year-old Irishman sealed a unanimous decision victory.

Conor McGregor was a major draw for Dana White during his incredible superstar rise in MMA and transcended the sport for his cultural impact and relevance.
The UFC fighter’s major success even led to a blockbuster mega-fight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in 2017.
Speaking during the UFC Freedom 250 media event on Wednesday, Daniel Cormier shared his feelings on the five-year wait for McGregor’s return to the octagon.
The 47-year-old MMA legend argued that McGregor’s appearances in UFC only become “bigger” and “better” every time he comes back to fighting.
“These guys are going to be grown men fighting in what will be […] it’s hard to think that an event will get bigger after this, but every time Conor McGregor is here, it’s bigger and it’s better,” Cormier said, as per MMA Junkie.
“The sport’s better with this man in the fight game. So, I’m excited for that as I am excited about the fights this weekend.”
