Much of the discourse surrounding that fight has been focused on criticism of the booking and Tsarukyan’s snub. McGregor, however, took to social media instead to reveal the person he will support on January 24.

After Topuria’s title win in June, ‘The Highlight’ and ‘The Baddy’ staked their claims for the next shot in different ways.
While Gaethje threatened to retire if the UFC did not put him in the next title fight, Pimblett looked to capitalize on his bad blood with ‘El Matador’ to secure the opportunity.
Both men will end up happy. However, many fans were not as pleased with the decision. They criticized Pimblett for allowing him to beat Michael Chandler.
