Alex De Minaur, who had lost the first quarter of the match to Norwegian Casper Ruud, fought back to win an Ultimate Tennis Showdown hattrick.Ruud took a confident early lead. He was up 4-0 when the Australians attacked. But it wasn’t good enough for De Minaur, as Ruud won the first quarter by 15-11.
The Demon De Minaur dominated the match throughout the remaining quarters after losing the first quarter.
His scores were 11-15,15-10,15-11,16-7. He won a UTS in London for a second year running, adding his Antwerp win from 2020.

Routes to finalRuud faced the Hong Kong UTS champion Francisco Cerundolo in his opening match of the tournament. Although he was a slight favorite, he lost by sudden death.
In the semi-finals, he would face the world’s No. 16 Andrey Rublev.

Rublev, the only player who had not lost in the group stages, quickly imposed his confidence on Ruud by winning the first quarter with a score of 17-9.
Ruud won the second quarter, but it was a much tighter match. Both players then won the third quarter, giving them two wins each. Ruud eventually beat him in the sudden death again, and this time he took the victory 9-17. 15-11. [2-0].
