Arman Tsarukyan of the UFC, a lightweight fighter, could have given away his real reasons for withdrawing from his bout against Islam Makhachev this year.
Arman Tsarukyan, who was scheduled to face Islam Makhachev in the UFC 311 event, canceled his fight just days prior.
At the time, ‘Ahalkalakets’ claimed that his withdrawal was due to an ongoing back injury, however, many fighters and even fans believed it was actually due to missing weight.
Since then the Armenian has paid the price for his last-minute withdrawl, being consistently denied title shots by UFC boss Dana White.
White announced just a few weeks ago that Paddy Pimblett, who will be facing Justin Gaethje, would be fighting for an interim lightweight championship. Tsarukyan, once again, was left out.
