Conor McGregor insists the fight must go ahead
Conor McGregor has implored his bosses to ensure all seven UFC Freedom 250 fights take place.
‘Notorious’ told the UFC to drop some of the ‘showpiece elements’ if the poor weather continues.
“In regards the weather, the showpiece elements around the fight can be sacrificed,” McGregor tweeted.
“As great as I know they are, the fights are paramount! @UFConParamount.
“Whatever window presents itself, stuff a scrap in it.”
He added: “ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT! We do this at all costs! @ufc.”
When is Conor McGregor’s comeback fight?
Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
Five years later, Max Holloway is set to welcome the Irishman back to MMA at UFC 329 next month.
They will headline in Las Vegas 13 years after they met as budding UFC featherweight prospects.
McGregor beat Holloway by unanimous decision on that occasion, but there aren’t many expecting a repeat result.
