The offense is struggling, tension is building in the stadium, uneasy reports have emerged, and an ice cold quarterback who knows only how to win has drawn criticism. Nick Sirianni’s Lombardi Trophy winners have an 8-2 NFC record that is tied for best. They are all but certain to win their division. City Chiefs Los Angeles Rams Tampa Bay Buccaneers Green Bay Packers (whose credibility has been damaged of late) – and on Sunday, Detroit Lions. Their prolific offense was restricted to only nine points.
It’s true that ice-cold champs can win even on bad days. They are the best team in football, and they have a winning record. Why the long faces then?
