Ronda Rousey’s UFC title reign ended 10 years ago today.
Plenty of memorable upsets have unfolded on MMA’s biggest stage across the past three decades, but not many can hold a candle to what took place at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia.
In the main event, the legendary Rousey entered the cage looking for her seventh straight successful defense of the women’s bantamweight title.
At the time, ‘Rowdy’ was 12-0 and had finished all six of her UFC fights, five in the very first round. Many predicted that she would have a similar dominance in the cage when she fought boxing expert Holly Holm.
Once the cage door was closed, they were no longer in the same situation.
