Yoel Romero’s new opponent revealed
Jorge Masvidal continued his feud with Chael Sonnen while confirming Hector Lombard‘s sad departure from his latest event.
“Breaking news alert, and I’m not just talking about Chael Sonnen changing his motherf—ing sex,” he said on Instagram.
“I’m talking about, Hector Lombard has withdrawn from the bout and will no longer be fighting.
“We’ll still have Yoel Romero on the card versus Alex Nicholson.”
Alex Nicholson is a 33-fight MMA veteran who has competed in the UFC and PFL during his career.
The 35-year-old enters his fight with Romero following back-to-back first-round knockout losses.

Why did Hector Lombard withdraw?
Hector Lombard blamed a lack of preparation time and illness after backing out of the fight.
‘Lightning’ insists he still wants to face Yoel Romero on bare-knuckle MMA later this year.
“There is another Gamebred event in September,” Lombard said on Instagram after Jorge Masvidal’s announcement.
“So, we can do it in September with the right training and preparation.
“I had one week of training, and the second week I got super sick.
“Romero, I can see you in September. Masvidal, lock me in for September.
“I got sick after two weeks of training… I got super sick.”
