Vitor Pereira appealed to Wolves fans to remain behind their team after his clash with supporters following Burnley’s 3-2 defeat. Wolves had put on a strong performance and goals scored by Marshall Munetsi, Jorgen Sand Larsen, and Jorgenstrand Larsen appeared to have secured the draw. However, Lyle Foster’s last-gasp goal broke Wolves hearts.
Boos rang around Molineux when Wolves were the only team to remain without a win among the top four English divisions. Pereira was met with chants like’sacked this morning’ before the furore broke out between the squad members and fans.

Pereira told the press after the game: “We understand frustration of fans and people, but I have to say that we can only win if we work together. We cannot compete or achieve our targets without them.””Things will change if we win at least two or three consecutive games,” Pereira said in his post-match press conference.
“Two month ago, they sang my name because, with the work that we did in the last season, we competed in the Premier League, and not the Championship. They are now singing my name in order to fire me.
“I would feel proud if I was a fan of my team. They worked hard and showed the mentality, spirit and ambition to win, even though they lost by 2-0. [after 30 minutes].”

“If we lose, it is unfair. We fought for 90 minutes and won the game. Then, in the last few seconds, when the opponent was trying to force a tie, they wasted time to end the game. They defended in a low blocking to defend the results.”We deserve the three-points, but it’s just football. I’m proud of my players for showing in a very tough moment the mentality, team spirit and organisation to try to win until the last second.”Pereira does not worry about his future” Pereira was unwavering when asked what his future would be after nine Premier League matches without a win. He replied: “I am not worried.” It’s nothing to do with me. It’s all about the club, team and players. It’s my job to make sure they are mentally prepared for the next battle.

Pereira reacts with fans after Burnley’s defeat
“There are times in life when we must suffer through very difficult situations. In the dressing room, I saw a team in pain. They tried everything to make this game more exciting.”I said to them today we have to suffer, but tomorrow you must rise up and be ready for battle. This is their mentality. They deserve more in this league than what we’re getting.”I believed a win could change everything, and felt today was the right day. But in the end it wasn’t. We need to be prepared to fight again.”Strand Larsen, we must accept fans’ frustrations

Wolves players address fans after the final whistle
Jorgen Sand Larsen, Wolves forward, admitted to the fans that his side had not been up to par so far this season.”Nothing happened. As players, you have to be able to understand the frustrations of the fans. You need to listen to them,” said the Norwegian to Sky Sports.”I’ve done this before. You can only get out of it by trying to make a connection. I can relate to the frustration of my teammates and me.”We’re sad right now – not only do we lack luck, but we are also unworthy. We nearly gave the game away in the opening half, and it was a complete disaster.”We’ve not been the same as we were last year and are trying to return there as soon a possible – It was just about hearing. We can now hopefully leave it behind and focus on winning the next match.”
