A UFC fighter’s future in the promotion is now up in the air following an update from his manager.

This year’s season of Dana White’s Contender Series produced some memorable highlights and plenty of additions to the UFC’s roster.

Mark Vologdin and Adrian Luna Martinetti probably produced the best Contender Series fight ever.

Juan Diaz knocked Kwon Win Il out of White’s hands with a spinning left elbow in the last episode from October.

While the very last fight of the season may have produced a personal highlight for the UFC president, things haven’t gone to plan for the victor.

Levi Rodrigues’ manager speaks on positive nandrolone drug test

After winning a fight on short notice but not receiving a contract, Freddy Vidal was offered the opportunity to compete for a second time on this year’s season of Dana White’s Contender Series.

His second attempt to impress the UFC bosses resulted in him being stopped in the first round by Brazil’s Levi Rodrigues.

Dana White was very happy with the light heavyweight, specifically because he stopped Vidal from implementing a strategy that would’ve made for a dull contest.

Rodrigues thanked the UFC President for “saving&#8221Before telling the new signatory that he had a great night by awarding him a deal, tell them this.

Unfortunately, Rodrigues’ future with the promotion could now be in jeopardy after his manager, Lucas Lutkus, told MMA Junkie that he tested positive for a prohibited substance after the bout.

Lutkus stated that they believed the positive results for nandrolone were due to the fact that the fighter used this to treat a back injury in the year 2024. He stopped using it around a month before his Contender Series bout.

“Levi has no prior history of anti-doping violations and has never failed a drug test,&#8221In a written statement, his manager said: “He respects the NSAC process, accepts the commission’s ruling, and will fully comply with all requirements moving forward.”
