Jorge Masvidal confirmed that he received an offer to fight on Netflix in May.
Earlier this month, Masvidal withdrew from a grappling match that would have seen him compete for the first time since 2024.
Some were questioning whether ‘Gamebred’ would be announced for the UFC White House card in June after making it clear that he wants to return to the Octagon.
However, there was another offer on the table for him that would’ve seen him join Ronda Rousey’s MMA revolution.

Jorge Masvidal says UFC stopped him from joining Most Valuable Promotions’ MMA event by laying out their plans
Nate Diaz will make his MMA return to face Mike Perry on May 16 at the Intuit Dome live on Netflix.
During a recent episode of his Death Row MMA podcast, Jorge Masvidal said that he also received an offer to step back inside the cage outside of the UFC.
Considering what some expect Diaz to be making for this fight, it’s not surprising that Masvidal said it was a “very good” pitch from Most Valuable Promotions.
However, he said he had to turn it down because the UFC had other plans, with them informing him that they intend to bring him back.
“I was talking to Nakisa [Bidarian], I get along very well with Nakisa and nothing but love for him for even thinking of me and calling me up, it just didn’t work out,” Masvidal said. “I had the first offer before they gave it to Nate, it was me and I desperately wanted to take the fight but the UFC has a good, good plan for me and they told me the plan. I like it and we’re going to see it through now.”
Masvidal went on to add that he doesn’t have a confirmed opponent for his long-awaited return to the UFC.
He did, however, confirm that he will be coming back at welterweight and he’s been given three “good” candidates after being sent a message by Hunter Campbell that welcomed him back home.
