Tom Aspinall confirms he will undergo two surgeries on eyes damaged by Ciryl Gane at UFC

Tom Aspinall has provided fans with a major update on his recovery from UFC 321.

The UFC heavyweight champion was the victim of a double eye poke from Ciryl Gane in October.

It left him unable to see, so Tom Aspinall‘s first title defense was disappointingly ruled a no-contest.

Two months later, the British fan favorite is still dealing with the repercussions of having been badly fouled.

    Tom Aspinall set for surgery

On Sunday, Tom Aspinall shared an update on his injured eyes in a video posted to YouTube.

The 32-year-old revealed he’ll have separate surgeries on both of them in the near future.

“By the time this is going out, I will have probably had surgery on one side already,” Aspinall said.

“The next surgery is coming mid-January.

“So, we are working towards getting back. That’s the plan.”
