    The UFC’s first few events of new $7.7 billion deal should concern fans

    With the UFC now just under a month away from kicking off their new era with Paramount, fans are divided regarding their excitement.

    When the premier promotion announced their new $7.7 billion broadcast partnership with Paramount, the majority of UFC fans were extremely excited about the future.

    One of the main reasons for excitement, though, was the fact that fans in the United States will no longer be required to pay a pay-per-view fee for the numbered events.

    However, I’m concerned. Yes, it is great for fans in the United States that they no longer have to fork out $79.99 every PPV event, but the first few events that have been announced have left me worried.

    The first few UFC events paint a concerning picture

    Not too long ago, UFC boss Dana White announced the first numbered event of 2026, UFC 324.

    Before announcing the shoddy main event, White revealed that the promotion’s biggest current star Ilia Topuria will be out of action for the foreseeable future as he sorts out some personal matters.
