Another fighter from the same gym, Shem Rock, received criticism from fans after he lost his debut earlier in the night, with ‘The Baddy’ being in the corner for both matchups.
Riley and Rock weren’t the only fighters who spend some of their time at Next Generation MMA who were in action this past weekend, with another member of the Liverpool-based gym suffering a setback.

Denis Frimpong was knocked out in the first round of OKTAGON.
Paddy Pimblett, who had agreed to settle their dispute physically with each other earlier this year after agreeing to do so, was shocked to be pulled from a fighter while he held onto a submission.
This didn’t stop Denis Frimpong, the fighter who was submitted by ‘The Baddy’, from continuing his winning streak in European promotion OKTAGON.
In fact, Frimpong has since become a teammate of Pimblett’s, which he spoke about in an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow ahead of his return on November 22.
The 30-year old had won three matches in a row by 2025, preparing him for the big fight to end the year.
‘The Menace’ faced off with Gokhan Aksu in a clash of top 10 lightweight contenders in Munich, Germany, only to suffer his first knockout loss.
Frimpong, who has often been a divisive character on the promotion’s roster, was dropped with a right hand before several hammer fists saw Aksu get the stoppage win with just over a minute left of the opening round.
