Monday Night “, Week 10, is now available. FootballThe Green Bay Packers will host the Philadelphia Eagles. Green Bay is coming off of a disappointing loss to the Carolina Panthers last week — its second loss to a team it should have badly beaten. Even after the loss, the Packers are still in the mix for the NFC North title and top seed in NFC. But they will need to beat another contender to keep up in those pursuits. The Eagles have just returned from their Week 9 bye after destroying the Giants before the break. In that game, they seemed to have gotten their offense back into gear. They’ll look to continue that against an excellent Green Bay defensive unit. While they’re in charge of the NFC East right now, the Eagles will be looking to keep up with the Packers. We’ll soon find out. Here’s how to watch the match before we go into detail about the teams.

In Week 8, they racked up a record 427 yards of offense, 23 first downs, and 38 points. Saquon barkley led the way by rushing for 150 yards on 14 carries. Tank Bigsby, who replaced Saquon after he left the game due to injury, ran for more than 100 yards in just nine carries. Jalen Hurts threw four touchdowns and gained 179 yards in just 20 attempts.
After its bye-week, Philly will be well rested and healthy. However, it will face a difficult challenge from a Green Bay team that has played very well so far in this season. The Packers rank fifth in yards and points allowed per match. The Packers have been particularly stingy in the running game (at least up until last week’s match against the Panthers), allowing less than 100 yards of rushing in each of their first eight games. Cowboys is the only other team to have totaled over 236 net yards of passing against them.
Here, the ground game is what you should be watching. The Packers don’t have a lot of size up front after trading Kenny Clark for Micah Parsons, but they still dominate the run game. The Eagles weren’t the same team as last season when it came to running the ball. Barkley’s explosiveness was rare in the first 7 weeks of the year. But he had a few long runs against the Giants before the bye week. If he is able to get big gains on the ground, it will change the equations elsewhere on the field. Barkley may not be able to find space to run if Philly is still without Cam Jurgens at the front. Lukas Von Ness won’t be along the Packers defensive line. That could impact both their run defence and pass rush. Green Bay also won’t have Nate Hobbs as a defensive back, which will cause some confusion in the backfield.
A.J. A.J. Brown only has 29 receptions, 395 yards and just three touchdowns in eight games. He’s also played in seven. At times he seems to be a second option behind DeVonta and Dallas Goedert. Hurts and Brown have had trouble getting along despite being second in the team for targets. When the Packers are in possession, it will be interesting to see the Philadelphia defense line up. The Eagles needed an outside cornerback, so they made trades to get two defensive backs. One of them plays in the slot. Will they try to get by without Cooper DeJean, who is a total game-breaker, and keep Adoree’ Jackson, Kelee ringo, or what Jaire Alexander still has in his tank? Will they move DeJean to the outside where he’s merely solid and try to make Michael Carter II work at nickel?
They’ll have to face a Packers receiving group that is severely injured no matter what they do. Tucker Kraft will miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured ACL. Jayden Reed remains in the injured reserve. Dontayvionwicks, Matthew Golden, and Savion William are listed as each being questionable. If the questionable players are unable to play, the Packers may be left with Romeo Doubs (who is playing in his third match back from a knee problem), Christian Watson, Malik Heath, and very little else in terms of receivers. In Kraft’s absence, they will have to turn towards Luke Musgrave, John Fitzpatrick, and Malik Heath.
Jordan Love’s performance this season has been both efficient (he averages 8.3 yards on a 70.3% success rate, and is ranked first in the NFL for EPA/dropback) and explosive (4th in the NFL with completions of at least 20 yards) Love has often been relied upon to save the Packers from a bad situation, rather than staying in front of the chains. The Packers have been able to score and accumulate yards with relative ease, with only two exceptions. The Packers have sputtered at times in strange ways, and that has come back to bite the team. Josh Jacobs, who’s been injured and hasn’t played much this year, is only averaging 3.8 yards on each carry. It’s down from the 4.4 he had in his first year at Green Bay where he ran for 1,329 yard and 15 touchdowns. It’s led to the Packers being in worse down and distance situations this year than last, which has contributed to their occasional inefficiency. The Philadelphia defense, which has ranked third in EPA for pass plays this season, is less vulnerable to the run.
Jaelan Philipps and Brandon Graham have been added to the Eagles front line. They will likely be rotated with Jalyx Uche or Josh Uche, based on the situation of the game. Graham’s age will likely limit the snaps he takes, but Phillips may play a major role. Prediction
This is a match in which there does not seem to be a clear advantage for either team. It looks like it’s a matchup of strength against strength. Green Bay seems to have the edge in passing games when it comes to these kinds of games. The Packers are also playing this game at home, which is a plus. Pick: Packers 23, Eagles 21,
