Oleksandr usyk, who was the undisputed WBO heavyweight champion before he lost it in an unexpected way, provided a big update about his future.
It was announced a few short weeks ago that the undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, had given up his WBO title in order to avoid fighting Fabio Wardley.
Despite the news coming as somewhat of a shock, it remained unclear as to what the Ukrainian’s next move was going to be following his win over Daniel Dubois this past July.
The boxing champion has provided an update on his future in sport, just a few months after dropping his title.

Usyk claims dropping title is only ‘temporary’
This past Sunday, the 38-year-old was in attendance at the WBC 2025 convention in Bangkok, Thailand, and during the evening, the champion announced that dropping his WBO title is only ‘temporary’.
“I’m happy to be here, listen, I have four belts, yes?”Usyk said.
“Now, three. A lot of people say – ‘Hey, you’re not undisputed champion’, okay, it’s temporary, but I have four belts but my favorite it’s green color every time,” Usyk continued.
After a recent final eliminator match was offered to two competitors, Usyk may need to defend his IBF title before he can think about reclaiming his WBO heavyweight title.
The IBF offered the fight to Jared Anderson and Frank Sanchez, with the winner potentially cementing themselves as Usyk’s next fight.
Despite that, Anderson and Sanchez were both spotted in Jake Paul’s training camp…
