You’ve got to judge recruitment with the context of time. The club’s journey has been a fascinating one, going from a club in relegation to a Champions League side, and this requires different actions at different times. Paul Mitchell leaving the club meant that the club had to go through a very difficult summer. Darren (Eales) had to step away as well at the same time, so that wasn’t easy. But there’s been some excellent acquisitions from that summer period. In the future, we will definitely expand our recruitment network. I think it’s also clear that we feel that it’s highly likely there’ll be more value outside of the Premier League than there is in it.
