Oklahoma City The Spurs finally lost their second game of the year. With Victor Wembanyama in their lineup, the Spurs beat them out of the NBA Cup Semis. I’m still betting that OKC will break the regular season wins record. A loss like this one isn’t enough to knock them off their top spot.

Nuggets
Denver’s fifth consecutive victory came in a heavyweight match against the Rockets. Even though it was a poor call that got them to overtime, to win that game, and without Aaron Gordon or Christian Braun, is something to be taken note of. Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray combined for 74 points, and Jokic put up a ho-hum 30-15-10-2-2 line.

Rockets
Amen Thompson’s tip-in for the go-ahead on the FOURTH of four offensive rebound in a single possession was a fitting way to win. As described above, the Rockets pushed Denver all the way to the end and may have won had it not been for a phantom foul call when Tim Hardaway Jr. tripped on his own feet.

Knicks
The Knicks have won a championship. It was their first trophy since 1973. It was in the Emirates Cup in 2025, after beating San Antonio in Vegas Tuesday. It didn’t matter in the official rankings, but we are definitely taking it into account here. The Knicks have won after a fantastic performance.
