Nate Diaz had something not too kind to say to Ryan Garcia after the boxer attempted to take part in one of MMA’s most famous memes.
The legendary former UFC star is not a fan of Islam Makhachev or his team, and as a result wouldn’t be keen on fighters training in Dagestan. It has become a meme among the MMA community that someone should train in Dagestan for two to three years to improve their fitness, skills and toughness.
Garcia, who will be returning to New York in February, after his second loss in the professional world in New York over the summer, joked about doing exactly that. Diaz wasn’t impressed either, posting a crude comment to his photo.

Ryan Garcia, one of the biggest boxing stars in social media, shared a video yesterday of himself adding an AI beard. He captioned it “After 2-3 years in Dagestan”.

Garcia posted a message in which he tagged Khabib Némagomedov, who responded and joked about how someone with his talent would only need to “come to Dagestan 1 years”. Umar Nurmagomedov commented as well, laughing at the meme.
Nate Diaz’s comments revealed that he was not as enthused as the 6.7 million other viewers. “Aw s—, you turned gay”Below the video. The comment of Khabib was overshadowed by the thousands of fans who thought it was funny. It is now hard to find under hundreds of comments.
Nate Diaz and Ryan Garcia’s next moves in the fight world
Diaz nor Garcia are officially scheduled to fight next but both will compete in the ring at some stage next year. Former MMA star Diaz has recently been in boxing, but is aiming for a cage fight with Jake Paul.

Garcia told fans and streamers he will return to the ring on or around February 21, 2019. He has not yet named an opponent or venue, but will be eager to win after being soundly defeated by Rolly Romero in Times Square last time.
