Khamzat chimaev won the UFC Middleweight Title at UFC 319 after he defeated Dricus DuPlessis in five rounds.
Ever since his debut in the promotion in 2020, it seemed almost inevitable that ‘Borz’ would one day become a UFC champion in at least one weight class, with many fans having highlighted him as potentially the first three-weight world champion.
Chimaev made an astonishing revelation just a few months after he won the middleweight title.
Chimaev has said he will only compete at 185 lbs once.

Chimaev, however, revealed in a recent ESPN MMA Interview that his first title defence will be likely his last middleweight fight, and he plans an immediate move to light heavyweight where he will fight Alex Pereira.
“These fights (at middleweight) don’t make me excited but I need to do my job. I have to make money. I am excited if it’s a big name.
