Kamaru Usman, despite having won only one of his four fights in the last year, looks in a prime position to win the next welterweight championship.
Islam Makhachev won the UFC 322 title for the second weight class by dominating Jack Della Maddalena over five rounds.
The main event wasn’t the only high profile welterweight clash on the card, though, as both Carlos Prates and Michael Morales picked up huge wins over Leon Edwards and Sean Brady respectively.
Although Morales has won the most impressive match of his career so far, and Prates has scored back-to-back victories, it does not appear likely that either will fight for the championship next.
