Justin Gaethje has a limited number of fights to offer fans.
The UFC Octagon will host the next big assignment for the popular American.
On January 24, ‘The Highlight’ will kick off the promotion’s new era on Paramount+ in competition for interim lightweight gold. Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett will headline UFC 324 in Ilia Topuria’s absence, as the champion takes a hiatus due to personal reasons.
That booking means the 37-year-old has somewhat gotten his wish, after Gaethje threatened to retire if the UFC did not give him the next title shot following Topuria’s knockout against Charles Oliveira.
Recent developments have extended the ex-interim champ’s career, but he is still close to the end.
