It’s safe to say that the YouTube star was not a popular figure in the combat sports community when he first began to appear in the boxing ring.
Paul is gearing up to face Anthony Joshua in Miami on December 19, a fight that will undoubtedly be his most dangerous matchup in the sport so far. In contrast, the early days of ‘El Gallo’s’ career saw him battle a number of past-their-prime MMA veterans, including Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley in 2021.
Paul defeated Askren in just one round. However, the Cleveland native was soon embroiled in fights with Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping.
