Joe Rogan settles Ciryl Gane vs Alex Pereira controversy that MMA fans have been debating

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has now dropped a powerful assessment of one standout talking point from Ciryl Gane and Alex Pereira’s fight at UFC Freedom 250.

Ciryl Gane and Alex Pereira were in the co-main event for the UFC White House card and the 36-year-old Frenchman captured the interim UFC heavyweight title again.

Pereira’s bid to become a UFC champion in three different weight classes ended after Gane secured a second-round TKO win at UFC Freedom 250 this month.

However, Gane’s stoppage of the 38-year-old Brazilian MMA fighter was not without its controversy, with Joe Rogan now offering his two cents on the controversy.

“Look how he drops him with the jab. Now here’s the question, because one of the things that Pereira is saying is a lot of – there’s an illegal shot.”

Gane has now put himself well and truly in the heavyweight title picture for a second encounter with UFC champion Tom Aspinall after his win over Pereira.

Rogan added that he felt that the “movement and chaos” in Gane’s clash with Pereira meant that some of the Frenchman’s controversial shots were unavoidable.

“A lot of the shots were illegal and to the back of the head,” he continued.

“But a lot of them were to the side of the head, and they’re also moving. It’s a two-inch line down like a mohawk.

“A couple of those shots definitely landed…
