Ilia Topuria’s brother Aleksandre landed his second UFC victory in Doha tonight as the brothers’ winning run continued.
Ilia, a two-weight champ, is undefeated since he began his professional career. Aleksandre has won seven of eight fights after just one defeat. Since their one loss, they have won 21 fights together including the featherweight and UFC lightweight titles for the younger.
Who will be the winner of UFC Qatar?
And Aleksandre’s latest octagon outing was no different as he secured another win for the family on the UFC Qatar prelims.

Aleksandre Topuria defeats Bekzat Almakhan at UFC Qatar
Aleksandre Topuria, in his second UFC fight, had to wait again. Bekzat Alakhan was a difficult puzzle that he needed to solve. The Kazakh fighter, who had fought in two previous octagon bouts, was only ever up against top-level opposition.
In a baptism by fire, he suffered his second defeat in his career. He returned to the ring with a stunning win over Brad Katona, two-time winner of The Ultimate Fighter.

Topuria put him in a different situation, as her pressure strikes kept him on his back for the entire 15-minute period. It wasn’t the most exciting of nights, but the Georgian was able to score himself a big win and continue the streak for his family.
It is possible that he will want to race to the top to catch up to his younger brother. Merab Dvalishvili sits atop the 135lb ranking. She is a good friend of Ilia Topuria’s and her family.
The champion claimed previously that he might consider giving up the belt when Topuria is at the top of his division. This was due to the fact that Topuria has been so dominant. He was even seen celebrating backstage with Topuria, 29, after his UFC 312 victory.
