Ian Machado Garry made his return to the Octagon this past Saturday. He faced former welterweight champ Belal Mohammed in the UFC Qatar main event.
The Irishman won the unanimous decision, placing him in first place of a 170lb division that is stacked with contenders.
Following his win, ‘The Future’ called for a welterweight title shot against the recently crowned champion Islam Makhachev, but he may find himself behind several contenders following another tentative performance.
