Ex-Michigan coach Sherrone Moore was in custody at the Washtenaw County (Mich.) jail Wednesday night hours after being fired by the school, court records show. Mr. Moore was handed over to Pittsfield Township Police Department, who will investigate any potential charges.According to a Pittsfield Police Department press release, officers arrived at a certain location on Wednesday afternoon around 4:10pm to investigate an alleged assault. The statement states that a suspect was “taken into custody” in the case and that “this incident appears to not be random.” The Thursday morning update stated that the suspect remains in custody. It is expected that he will be arraigned Friday. Moore’s name was not mentioned in the statement.Â
