This was one of the most intense feuds ever in UFC.

Daniel Cormier is not a fan of Jon Jones, a Rochester native.

Daniel Cormier believes Jon Jones should not be in Chechnya

Jones was the latest UFC superstar to associate with Kadyrov in a controversial manner.

In addition to his connections with Chechnya’s Khamzat Chimaev and Dagestan’s Khabib Nurmagomedov, Kadyrov has also hosted Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, and Henry Cejudo in the past.

Many in the MMA community have been questioning Jones’ trip to the region, marking the latest controversy to arise from his life away from the cage.

Cormier also commented on the visit but for a completely different reason.

In a comment to an Instagram post by ESPN MMA that showed Jones eating Chechen cuisine, his bitter rival questioned why he wasn’t with his family for the holidays.

“Why is Jon Jones not with his family on Thanksgiving holiday?”
