Controversial loss to Steelers leaves Ravens with only themselves to blame

BALTIMORE – The Ravens’ 27-22 loss to the Steelers was not the result of the play that caused the controversy. Yes, there were a few close call situations where they lost. How the Ravens responded to them, though, is ultimately what doomed them in a 27-22 loss to the Steelers, a defeat that leaves Baltimore (6-7) one game behind Pittsburgh (7-6) in the AFC North and behind in the head-to-head tiebreaker with four weeks to go.The Ravens appeared to have taken the lead with under three minutes left after Lamar Jackson found Isaiah Likely for a 13-yard touchdown. It was only a few yards, but it could have made a huge difference to the Ravens. Instead of a two point conversion to go ahead 30-27, the offense faced a second-and-10 on the Pittsburgh 13.

Jackson completed a pass to Henry. Henry lost 3 yards on third-down — a total breakdown at the line — and Jackson failed to connect with Mark Andrews when it came time for fourth-down.Tyler Linderbaum stated that there are things in every game that happen and you need to be prepared to react to them. “We’re in a…
