Movlid Khaybulaev is banned from MMA, after he failed a drug test.
The 2025 PFL featherweight champ submitted an in-competition test that was positive for recombinant Erythropoietin. This occurred on August 1, the same day he won $500,000 in title money by defeating Jesus Pinedo in round 5.
In an official statement, PFL announced that Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s stablemate has been stripped of his championship and will be forced to forfeit all associated bonus awards.
That wasn’t enough for the man Movlid Khaybulaev beat by split decision when they fought in 2021.

Brendan Loughnane makes a statement
Movlid Khybulaev beat Brendan Loughnane in the PFL featherweight semifinal.
Conor McGregor’s sparring partner went on to win the $1 million tournament one year later.
Still, he’s furious that Khaybulaev’s cheating may have harmed his record and bank balance.
This fight literally cost me millions of dollars,” Loughnane tweeted on Wednesday.
“Lost a split decision to a known cheater. Sport is wild.”
Conor McGregor hasn’t publicly commented on Khaybulaev’s failed drug test and subsequent ban.
‘However, the Irishman did take a dig at Khabib Nurmagomedov by reposting a fan theory.
It suggested the 29-0 UFC legend must’ve known that Khaybulaev was using performance-enhancing substances.
