The SEC also features No. No. 10 Texas travels to No. This is a rematch between No. 5 Georgia and the SEC Championship Game from last season. The Longhorns have lost to the Bulldogs twice in the past, but this will be their first meeting at UGA’s Sanford Stadium. Elsewhere, No. The No. 9 Notre Dame team will be battling for a playoff spot at No. No. 22 Pitt will host No. USC will host No. Here are CBS Sports’ expert picks as we approach another college football Saturday. 9 Notre Dame vs. No. Pitt
Noon on ABC, fuboTV (try for free): Ten of the last 14 meetings in this series have been decided by single-digits, and with Aaron Donald in the house it’s easy to get the vibes like Pitt is set up to be frisky and threaten for the upset. Mason Heintschel can lead the Panthers to a win even if they are not able to stop CJ Carr. Pick: Pitt +12.5 No. 4 Alabama vs. No. 11 Oklahoma
3:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (try for free): Oklahoma’s defense rates among the nation’s best, but has given up a few big plays in the passing game over the past few weeks. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson along with receivers Ryan WIlliams & Germie Bernard will present a unique test, especially if Oklahoma’s offense cannot be consistent. Alabama will come out on top despite a close game from the Oklahoma defense. Pick: Alabama -6
3:30 p.m. on CBS, CBSSports.com, CBS Sports App, Paramount+ Premium: The records may be the same, but the talent disparity heavily favors Penn State. Michigan State’s 5-1-0 ATS against Big Ten opponents is impressive, but the Nittany Lions have far more firepower both on and off the field. The near-upset against No. Penn State showed it wasn’t done under interim head coach Terry Smith. Ethan Grunkemeyer, the quarterback, was good and balanced the offense. This could be crucial against the Spartans’ pass defense, which ranks fourth in Big Ten for yards allowed per try (7.6) this season against FBS opposition. Penn State can leave East Lansing in comfort, with bowl eligibility on the line. Pick: Penn State -7.5 No. 22 Iowa vs. No. 17 USC
3:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network, fuboTV (try for free): If Iowa proves itself capable of covering USC receivers Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane, we’re going to have an interesting game on our hands. It’s hard to believe that the Hawkeyes, after a run of impressive games, can make enough stops. USC’s offensive system is among the best in the nation and much more effective at home. This, along with Iowa’s recent record against ranked opponents, make it difficult to expect the Hawkeyes stay within a touchdown. Pick: USC-6.5 No. Pick: Georgia No. 10 Texas
7:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (try for free): Arch Manning’s recent surge in performance is largely based on yards after the catch accrued by his receivers against two of the least athletic defenses in the SEC. Georgia will be able tackle UT’s passing game in space, while the Longhorns are unable to run with the ball. Georgia’s offensive performance has been outstanding in both of its last three games. The Bulldogs have found their groove and will be a strong favorite at home under the lights. Pick: Georgia -6 Which college football team will win the game and cover?
