Tyronn Lue, head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, was direct in his admission that the team lost 129-108 to the Utah Jazz during the season opener on Wednesday.Lue, according to Clippers reporter Justin Russo, said, “I accept responsibility for that bulls—t” as he walked out of the press conference following the game. Los Angeles never led the contest at any time, and they trailed the Utah Jazz by as much as 37 points. Los Angeles never managed to reduce the deficit below ten points for the rest of the game. Los Angeles finished with 108 total points while Utah scored 108 through the first three quarters. Walker Kessler led the Jazz with 22 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots without missing a single shot. Los Angeles had the No. 3 defensive rating last season, but couldn’t slow down Utah’s offense throughout the game (via NBA.com). The Jazz scored 55.2 percent as a group. Lue will look to get his team back on track in their Friday matchup against Phoenix Suns. The game will begin at 10:30 pm ET. ET.
