Ciryl Gane’s training partner explains why he has ‘no choice’ but to finish Alex Pereira

Mory Kromah believes that Ciryl Gane is even more motivated after what happened in his last fight.

Ahead of June 14, Alex Pereira wasn’t bothered by Gane working with Artem Vakhitov to prepare for their interim heavyweight title bout.

The last man to beat ‘Poatan’ isn’t the only elite kickboxer that ‘Bon Gamin’ has spent time around to aid his training camp.

Following his sparring with Gane, Mory Kromah gave his insight into why he believes that the Frenchman will emerge victorious at the White House.

Mory Kromah thinks Ciryl Gane is even hungrier due to the way the Tom Aspinall fight ended

Ciryl Gane isn’t changing his style to avoid eye pokes following the way that his last fight ended.

In this third attempt at becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion, the bout ended prematurely after Tom Aspinall couldn’t continue due to eye injuries.

Mory Kromah told Bloody Elbow when recalling their training sessions that he believes this missed opportunity has only fired Gane up more to deliver on June 14.

“He had the chance to fight the champion and win the belt,” Kromah said. “For him, it was f—– up to have a fight with Aspinall like that, like the eye poke and the fight ending and he felt disappointed about the moment that happened with the eye poke. So, I think this time, he will take the chance to finish it.

“He has to finish the job and he knows it. I saw the hunger in him. The way he trains, the focus he had. He was really listening to his trainer also. To call me, now the king of kickboxing, to train with him, he has to win. He has no choice but to win.”

The training was also beneficial for Kromah, who will be returning to GLORY Kickboxing on June 13.

He’s set to defend his heavyweight title for the first time in a rematch with Miloš Cvjetićanin.

This matchup was set to take place in the finals of a tournament earlier this year, but Cvjetićanin was battling through significant injuries that stopped him from competing in his third fight of the night.
