Bob Menery claims he didn’t sleep for 37 hours before disastrous Johnny Manziel fight

Bob Menery appears to have simultaneously cared very deeply about his fight with Johnny Manziel, and taken it without any degree of seriousness.

The social media star is said to have begged former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Manziel to take the bout on Brand Risk Promotions for weeks. However, once Adin Ross made the fight happen, he did minimal training and also didn’t stop his partying ways.

Throughout the lead-up, Menery would post videos and Instagram stories of himself enjoying the nightlife in Vegas. And he looked every bit the untrained beginner as Manziel – who was only marginally better through sheer athleticism – easily stopped him in the first round.

Dana White literally bet $10,000 that Bob Menery would not make the walk on Saturday night, ultimately losing his money. He showed up at the Meta Apex to commentate on the show, and giggled all the way through the influencer’s appearance from his walkout to his defeat.

White repeated the story multiple times that Menery had been out in Las Vegas hours earlier until the early parts of the morning. The UFC boss even insisted that he had been kicked out of a famous casino due to his antics on the night.

Menery has since appeared on the podcast One Night With Steiny alongside Johnny Manziel, who admitted that his rival looked ‘scary’ after staying up for days prior to the bout. “I didn’t sleep one minute,” he explained.

“I actually stayed up for 37 hours before… It didn’t have anything to do with [his horrible performance], it actually made me stronger, which is weird… I wasn’t doing cocaine because I don’t do cocaine but probably I was taking zaps [adderall].

“At the end of the day I would nibble a zap around every hour going into the fight. I got there four hours later and I’d be like ‘Jake come here, give me a zap’. The commission was all there, and Timmy Bounceback [his cornerman] came in hammered, I had a couple of shots before the fight.

“I guess the best the commission can do is they can breathalyze you and if you fail it the fight doesn’t happen. So Timmy comes in hammered with beers and the lady comes in like ‘what’s going on here?’

“She maybe thought I was f—ing drunk and s—. So I got him thrown out, he was my cornerman but he was too…
