Aune Heggebo had a very busy few weeks. One minute he played for his boyhood team Brann in Norway’s top division, and the next moment he achieved his dream of moving to England.
West Brom’s striker says that he was able to tell Sky Sports immediately when he heard of the interest.
“I understood they had been watching me for quite some time. After I heard about the interest, it took me around 10 days to be ready to sign. The process was quick and the opportunity was too good to pass up.”I always watched English football. I went to England with my dad and grandfather and we watched games. “In Norway, everybody is interested in English football. So it was always a goal to watch a game.
It’s been great to move in and get settled. It is a pleasant place to reside. There are many differences. The politeness of the English is what I find most striking.
In Norway, people are more introverted. Everyone here is polite and asks you how you are. One day I’ll take that home as a positive.
Heggebo’s whirlwind of a month didn’t stop in July. Heggebo was first called up to the Norwegian national team in early September. This came shortly after he made his West Brom debut.The 24-year old recalls that it was unexpected and surreal. It was beautiful to have my family and close friends watch.It is something that you appreciate more when you reflect on it. After working hard for many years, it is nice to be able to represent your nation.

Heggebo was on target twice as West Brom defeated Swansea by a score of 3-2 last month.
