Arsenal led the way in the opening stages. Lotte Wubben Moy came close to doubling its lead when she powered a header into the crossbar. However, Liverpool slowly worked their back into the match.
The visitors equalized against the odds on the half hour mark when Beata Olsson drifted through space in the middle of the box, and calmly finished with a left-footed shot past Arsenal goalkeeper Anneke Borbe.
Blackstenius scored a dramatic goal in the 87th-minute. She swiveled and blasted a half-volley in the top corner.
