Arman Tsarukyan’s next match is fast approaching.
The top UFC lightweight contender finds himself out of the title equation for the time being despite winning five straight fights, occupying the No. 1 spot in the rankings, and making weight as backup for the last title bout at 155 pounds.
Tsarukyan submitted Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar in November, but that result was seemingly not enough to make up for his late withdrawal from the UFC 311 main event last January.
With that, Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje headline UFC 324 in competition for an interim lightweight title, which is being created while Ilia Topuria takes a hiatus due to personal problems.
Having been snubbed of a title shot that many believe he deserves, Tsarukyan is keeping busy in the grappling realm, where his next outing comes against UFC middleweight Shara Magomedov.
