Next month’s numbered event took a hit following an announcement that came out earlier today.
Jan Blachowicz announced that he won’t be fighting at UFC 328 due to him suffering a torn meniscus in his final round of sparring.
The former light heavyweight champion was set to compete in the featured prelim in a rematch with fellow top ten contender Bogdan Guskov.
While several additions have recently been made to the card headlined by Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland, another one looks likely to be coming soon.

Iwo Baraniewski’s manager says UFC offered him Bogdan Guskov fight at UFC 328
With UFC 328 still three weeks away, it seemed likely that the promotion would look to find a replacement opponent for Bogdan Guskov in order to keep him on the card.
A recent post asked MMA manager Artur Gwozdz whether he could suggest to the promotion that he help fill the spot left by Jan Blachowicz’s absence.
Gwozdz, of Artnox Fight Sport, responded on X that the UFC has already sent this offer to his fighter, Iwo Baraniewski.

In December, Baraniewski had the UFC commentators in hysterics following his wild debut win over Ibo Alsan that produced one of the best one-round fights in recent memory.
He followed this up with another first-round finish, this time over Austen Lane at UFC London last month.
The Polish light heavyweight is currently pencilled in to face Billy Elekana at a Fight Night event at the Apex in Las Vegas on June 6.
Gwozdz didn’t clarify whether they’ll be accepting this offer from the UFC, but it would certainly be a big opportunity for the 27-year-old following a strong start to his run in the promotion.
