With 2025 coming to an end, most fighters will have been tested for the final time this year ahead of the beginning of 2026.
2025 marked the end of the second year of the UFC using their own drug-testing program since the end of their partnership with USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency).
With that, there were several notable inclusions in the testing pool this year, with several big names having announced their imminent returns.
One of which being former UFC double champion Conor McGregor, who once again announced he will return to action, with the Irishman targeting the UFC White House event.

Merab Dvalishvili finishes the year as the most-tested athlete
2025 was in some ways the year of Merab Dvalishvili, who despite losing his title in the final PPV of the year, fought four times in the Octagon.
And because of his astonishing activity, the Georgian fighter finished the year as the most-tested athlete in the promotion, registering 14 test sessions over the 12 month period.
Closely behind him is lightweight number one contender Arman Tsarukyan, who registered 12 test sessions in 2025, despite having only competed once.
‘Ahalkalakets’ finished the year in the UFC’s bad books after being snubbed of an interim lightweight title shot, with Dana White still maintaining his stance that the Armenian needs to re-earn his shot.
After announcing his planned return, McGregor re-entered the testing pool midway through the year and since then, he has registered seven test sessions.
UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev is one of the fighters that fans keep a close eye on, and in 2025, he registered nine test sessions.
His close rival, Ilia Topuria was tested seven times throughout the year, having only competed once.
