Kilmarnock then face Falkirk the following Saturday. They will then travel to St Mirren, winners of the League Cup after Christmas. Finally they visit Dens Park in December. On January 3, they welcome Hibernian Rugby Park before facing Livingston away on January 10, in a match that is crucial for both clubs.
The club announced that Kris Doolan will be taking interim control of the first team alongside Craig Clark and Paul Di Giacomo while the process of appointing a permanent manager begins.
