You can now experience the new Athletics ballpark. You can now. On Tuesday, the team opened a brand new interactive space where fans can see what the future holds for the $2 billion stadium that is currently being constructed in Las Vegas. It’s scheduled to be open by 2028. The interactive space is located in the Uncommons’ mixed-use development in the southwest Las Vegas Valley. The space includes a park model, interactive displays, and seating concepts. It also houses the Immersive cube, a virtual replica A’s stadium, which fans can enter to get a feel for the surrounding. The space has 270 degrees LED screens covering the walls and ceiling. There are 26.5 millions pixels. The 3,500 square foot space can accommodate up to 12 people.”I don’t think that it’s ever been the case that you could see in a space so large, as opposed to looking at it on a small computer screen, what the image will look like,” A’s owner John Fisher said via the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “What the window looking into Bally’s and MGM and New York-New York, what that will all be. It’s interesting to see what the future club areas will look like and the suites. We can improve the cube’s programming so that people will have the opportunity to see a variety of views.”The Athletics have experienced a lot of change in the last couple of years. The team first announced that it would be moving to Las Vegas after the 2023 season. They then played their last season in Oakland as a protest. They’ll be playing in Sacramento until the new stadium is completed for the next couple of seasons. At least they have a sneak peek at their new stadium. Want to receive great stories in your email?
