Shem rock has sold his UFC gear to try and recoup the money he’s lost.
Standard first UFC contracts are $10,000 or $12,000. This amount is doubled if you win. Rock lost to Nurullo Aliev, and will only receive half of his planned UFC Qatar prize.
There had been a lot of hype heading into Rock’s debut, particularly given that he was cornered by one of the sport’s biggest stars Paddy Pimblett. But he wasn’t able to get going and suffered defeat by unanimous decision.

Shem rock left the Octagon immediately after losing to Aliev. This was the moment the verdict for his UFC debuted defeat was announced. However, he didn’t stay quiet as he almost immediately took to social media to give his take on proceedings.
It was his plan to stop the takedown. However, it may have backfired because he also got outstruck by the opponent on the feet. “Could stop him sniffing my b—s but couldn’t stop him punching me in the face,”Rock wrote. “Ironic.”

He then posted two photos to Instagram, showing his signed fight gear in frames. “Lost half me pay check there tonight,”He wrote. “Any rich Qataris wanna buy my debut shorts and gloves shout me, need to take me mum out the ghetto man.”
Fans and fighters both praised him for the stunt. Oban Elliott wrote “come on man”Paddy Holohan also added: “Keep your head held high Shem not everyone gets to put on them gloves .”
