Eagles’ A.J. Brown Won’t Apologize for ‘S–t Show’ Comments, Explains Frustration

A.J. Brown, wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been a controversial figure in recent weeks. Brown’s comments on Tuesday that the 2025 NFL season was a “s—t show” drew a lot of attention. He didn’t apologize for his remarks. His frustration stemmed from the offense’s general inconsistency, not his own lackluster statistics. He told reporters, “It isn’t only about me.” “Obviously, I too want to win. I don’t think we should keep putting a band-aid on the defense’s job to save us if we really want to win and do our job. When will we pick up the slack on offense? … That’s what I’m getting at. It’s not that I don’t want to win, I only care about stats. No. No. It’s week after week that we don’t contribute and do our job on the offensive side.Brown finished with two catches for 13 yards on three targets. It was the fourth time this season he failed to reach the 30-yard mark in a game. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni pointed out after the game that sometimes plays are designed for Brown but need to go elsewhere because opposing defenses are taking him away. Brown’s performance was disappointing. He only managed two catches and 13 yards out of three targets. This is the fourth time he has not reached the 30-yard mark this season. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni noted that the plays that are intended for Brown are often redirected to other players because opponents are stealing him. The Eagles scored just 10 points on Monday but still won.
